GiveLight Foundation's Global Projects

It started with a burning desire to save the lives of Indonesian children who were made orphans by the 2004 South Asian Tsunami.  Little did we know then that within a span of only a few years GiveLight Foundation would reach out to many more orphan children around the world.  Today, because of your generous support and trust in our work, we have established programs in 10 countries, nurturing more than 1,000 children!

Below you can review our projects in different countries and see for yourself just how far we have come. Our children are so grateful for your support.

With over 153 million orphans around the world, we are now aiming to help nurture 10,000 children. We believe with your help we will be able to reach this lofty goal. Together, let's go further!

We are excited to announce a new home near Lahore and a partnership with The Citizen Foundation (TCF) in sponsoring 200 orphans. Read on to find out more about our two projects and how you can help.

Banda Aceh in Indonesia suffered catastrophic damage as a result of the tsunami that struck on the 26th of December in 2004.

We are so excited to share with our GiveLight family that our latest endeavor in Africa is complete!

Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries in the world. Dian, founder of GiveLight Foundation, traveled to the region in 2008.

After seeing such atrocities committed to millions of innocent Syrian children, we made a decision to do something that will have a long term impact.  We launched a school program for 100 Syrian orphans in Turkey in September 2016.  We reached this goal by February 2017 thanks to the generosity of our wonderful friends.  We are continuing to sponsor more children as the needs are far too great.

Happiness from Amman, Jordan! We are excited to announce the start of our work to support Syrian orphans through a partnership with a credible and trustworthy local NGO, Al Gharaa Foundation.

Sri Lanka was also affected by the 2004 tsunami. As we started our projects in Indonesia, Pakistan and Bangladesh, we were approached by a family from Sri Lanka who shared our passion for serving orphans. The family donated the land and a partnership was formed with the shared philosophy of providing a secure and loving home for 50 children.

A generous couple in Cambodia donated land for an orphanage.  Following a successful ground-breaking ceremony, construction of the facilities was completed in 2013.  A thoughtful letter from the land donors explains it all.

GiveLight is now in the Himalayas! We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Ama Foundation (AF).

The Bay Area is one of the most affluent areas of our nation. One would think that there is no poverty, nor orphans, here. Unfortunately...
