Four Seasons Hotel- Palo Alto, California

There are moments in your life that are so perfectly beautiful, that it seems like you are in an enchanted little world, living out a favorite childhood fairy-tale.

That was how I felt about the GiveLight Women's Gala on December 19, 2009 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto. More than forty of my closest friends and GiveLight supporters came together for an afternoon of friendship, introspection and self- renewal.

The ambiance was lovely, the food was an absolute delight and the stories of our children's progress inspired and uplifted us. Each attendee came up with new and exciting ideas on how to raise awareness and funds for GiveLight. Instead of asking people to make a donation, we challenged them to go out there and raise $1000 for GiveLight in the next 12 months.

Procter & Gamble Beauty Care donated generously for the event, including beauty products from their Cover Girl, Clairol, and Olay product lines. I fell in love all over again with my former company for its generosity and the kindness of its people. I was especially thrilled because the wonderful P&G women helped me pull this together at the very last minute.

The Four Seasons Hotel donated $50 spa gift certificates to each of the attendees and provided complimentary welcome beverages. Another great gesture of generosity.
