“From our deepest hearts, we are conveying our gratitude for all the love and attention sent for us from the distance.” writes one of GiveLight’s orphans to her sponsor.

With your help, GiveLight has been able to sponsor 50 orphans in its orphanage and another 146 throughout Aceh, Indonesia.

GiveLight has also been able to respond to the earthquake disaster in Pakistan by sponsoring another 50 orphans, while working on building a permanent home for these orphans. Our hope is to sponsor at least 200 orphans by the end of the year.

The orphanages GiveLight has been building are top quality dorms and we provide high quality housing for the children. Some of GiveLight’s volunteers paid out of their own pockets to go visit the children orphans this summer in GiveLight’s Indonesian Ache orphanage. GiveLight had a hard time getting their volunteers to
return, as they enjoyed staying at the orphanage and meeting all these wonderful children.

With a few volunteers and all donations going to the orphans directly, the volunteers at GiveLlight have worked hard to provide a comfortable living situation for the children they houseorphans. These orphans are fed, clothed, educated on $30 per month.
Although their parent’s’ love can never be replaced, they truly feel that people care for them.

With a small number of volunteers and GiveLight’s focus being on the orphans, it has been difficult for GiveLight to give individual sponsor updates. Instead we have helped some donors to directly contact their orphans and build a wonderful relationship that is
rewarding to both sides. GiveLight can help you get in contact with your sponsored child orphan and we hope that you will.

Most of us live in a comfortable home surrounded by our loved ones. The children of Aceh have lost everything and each of them will grow up without ever again feeling a touch of a mother or a warm embrace of a father. Through this effort we hope to inspire their generation to the point where they can integrate well into the fabric of their society and find their places in the world.

You can sign-up for a $30 monthly sponsorship (one dollar a day) through PayPal.  The entire amount will be dedicated to each orphan on a monthly basis to cover 3 meals/day, no costs taken out. These are orphans living in temporary housing today who will eventually transfer to our new building. Doing that, we are able to start helping immediately without waiting for the building to complete.
