Volunteer   Dian Alyan
Founder and President of GiveLight
Former Assc. Director Procter & Gamble, MCA Outreach Director

The tsunami of 2004 was a turning point in Dian's life. She not only watched in horror her birth place turning into pieces but she lost 40 of her relatives and friends. That major loss compelled her to began something that has now turned into the true passion of her life : helping orphaned children around the world.

For her, It is both humbling and extremely rewarding to see how Givelight has grown over the past four years, 100% driven by volunteers. Through the mercy and blessings of THE ONE, GL now supports more than 300 orphans in 5 countries (Indonesia, Pakistan, Sudan and Siera Leone and Bangladesh). Her dream over the next few years is to reach out to 1, 000 orphans and change the lives of children across different countries, cultures and religions.
